About my credentials

With over three decades of experience, my journey began at the University of the Fraser Valley, where I graduated in Adult Learning and Education. This foundation led to a career spanning more than 20 years as an adult educator at a private post-secondary college, where I was dedicated to helping others achieve their goals. My natural inclination towards supporting others in their growth has always driven me. For the past 12 years I've focused on the study of mental health, well-being, and the healing power of nature.

A passion for animals and nature has been central to my understanding of their importance in human wellness. My involvement in wildlife photography sparked a deeper connection with nature, leading me to a 2 year volunteer project at a birds of prey conservation organization in 2008. From 2010 to 2015, I expanded my understanding by traveling solo and attending workshops focused on nature's therapeutic benefits in various locations, including Sedona, the Red Rock Canyon, the Mojave Desert, Joshua Tree National Park, the Grand Canyon, Hawaii, the Redwood Forest in California, and the Oregon coast. These experiences profoundly shaped my approach to Nature-Based Therapy and Guided Forest Therapy.

Upon returning to Canada, I further explored the healing benefits of British Columbia's diverse landscapes—its rainforests, lakes, mountains, and open terrains—which has been integral for the business model of my Nature Immersion Retreat Centers and Internal Reign Nature Therapy. Over the years I have studied Wildlife Comparative Psychology and have trained in coaching and conflict resolution at the Justice Institute of British Columbia. As well Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and coaching at the Academy of Modern Applied Psychology, and Positive Psychology (PERMA) at Stanford University in California. Studying under Martha Beck and collaborating with other professionals in coaching, psychology, Nature-Based Therapy and Forest Therapy has all greatly enriched my business model.

My commitment is to share the knowledge and tools I've gathered over the years to help individuals overcome challenges, anxiety, stress, and self-limiting beliefs and reconnect them to nature in a profound way.
